Arrival / Negombo

Meet on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport by a Journey X Representative and transfer to Negombo – Check in at Goldi Sands Hotel 3*+ - (Standard Room) - Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Negombo / Sigiriya – (Rock Fortress) & Village Experience

Breakfast at hotel – Leave for Sigiriya and explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress - Rising 200 metres out of the jungle undergrowth, this impressive citadel is surrounded by a moat and extensive manicured gardens. The summit is reached via a steep staircase winding up the side of the rock and on the way up you can see the world-renowned frescos of the Heavenly Maidens.

Thereafter ride through the village paths up to the lake then cross the lake by canoe – Take part in a cookery demonstration by the local women from the village – Also enjoy a locally prepared Lunch.
Once completed, Check in at Aliya Resort 4* - (Deluxe Room) – Remainder of the evening at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Minneriya – (Safari)

Breakfast at hotel – This morning we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Polonnaruwa, an ancient city that was once the second capital of Sri Lanka. Some of the key sights to see here include the ruins of the Royal Palace, the four statues of Buddha at Gal Viharaya, the Audience Hall and several famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple and remains of the former Temple of the Tooth. (Part of the sightseeing tour will be explored on Bicycles)
Thereafter, we continue to explore the Minneriya National Park and experience the thrill of witnessing large herds of Asian elephants gathering around the Minneriya Tank, a unique phenomenon known as "The Gathering." Your tour guide will enrich your experience with insights into the park's ecology and conservation efforts.
Once completed, return to the hotel – Remainder of the evening at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Sigiriya / Matale – (Spice Garden) / Kandy

Breakfast at hotel – Today we leave for Kandy. Our first stop would be the Dambulla Cave Temple - This stunning complex of 5 caves contains over 150 images of Buddha including an impressive 14 metres statue carved out of the cave rock.
Continuing our journey, we make our way towards Kandy, stopping en-route at a Spice Garden in Matale. Here, you will get to explore the different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. An introduction to various spices will be given and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
Check in at the Cinnamon Citadel 4* - (Superior Room) - In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness daily rituals featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Return to the hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.

Kandy – (Railway Station) / Nanu Oya / Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at hotel – This morning we embark on a mesmerizing train journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, winding through lush tea plantations and picturesque landscapes. Witness the beauty of rolling hills, quaint villages, and mist-covered forests. Capture the essence of Sri Lanka's central highlands as you ascend to Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England," with its colonial charm and refreshing climate.

On arrival at the Nanu Oya Railway Station, meet up with you guide and continue to Nuwara Eliya – Check in at Lynden Grove Hotel “Boutique Concept” – (Deluxe Room) – Remainder of the evening at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains – (Trek) + Tea Plantation & Sightseeing

Early morning, we explore Horton Plains – Renowned for its stunning landscapes and diverse ecosystems, Horton Plains is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Highlights include "World's End," a sheer cliff offering panoramic views, and Baker's Falls, a picturesque waterfall. The park features unique flora and fauna, including sambar deer and leopards. Explore well-maintained walking trails, with the circular trek leading to key attractions.

Return to the hotel for a late breakfast.

In the afternoon explore Nuwara Eliya, the serene Gregory Lake, offering stunning views. Experience the essence of Nuwara Eliya through its iconic tea plantations, with a visit to the Pedro Tea Estate. Marvel at the neatly manicured tea bushes against the backdrop of rolling hills.

Enjoy the colonial charm of Victoria Park, where well-maintained gardens and a tranquil atmosphere provide a perfect setting for a leisurely stroll.

Once completed, return to the hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.

Nuwara Eliya / Galle – (Sightseeing) / Kosgoda / Kaluthara

Breakfast at hotel – Leave for Kalutara – En route explore the Galle Dutch Fort - The Galle fort was built first by the Portuguese, and then converted by the Dutch during the 17th century. Even today, after 400 years of existence, it looks new and polished with reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Today Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world.

Thereafter we visit a Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda – This turtle conservation center plays a crucial role in protecting sea turtles in Sri Lanka. You'll have a chance to learn about the different turtle species, the hatchery's efforts to protect them, and observe turtles at various stages of their life cycle.

Once completed, continue to Kalutara – Check in at Blue Water Hotel 5* - (Deluxe Room) – Remainder of the evening at leisure by the beach – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.
