Arrival / Colombo
Meet on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Colombo – Check in at the hotel.
If time permits, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Colombo, the Commercial area known as the "Fort," a name derived from the historical forts established by both the Portuguese and Dutch.
Drive through vibrant "Pettah," an eclectic oriental bazaar bustling with a diverse mix of people, ancient vehicles, market stalls, mosques, and temples. Explore a Hindu temple and pass by the Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque.
Continue the journey to visit the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law Courts, and the residential enclave of Cinnamon Gardens.
Proceed to Independence Square and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Additionally, make a stop at Gangaramaya Temple to engage in religious experiences.
Return to Hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay. (D)
Colombo / Dambulla / Habarana / Polonnaruwa / Habarana
Breakfast at Hotel – Leave for Habarana - En-route visit the Dambulla Rock Temple – This stunning complex of 5 caves contains over 150 images of Buddha including an impressive 14 metres statue carved out of the cave rock.
Thereafter we continue on a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa, an ancient city that was once the second capital of Sri Lanka. Some of the key sights to see here include the ruins of the Royal Palace, the four statues of Buddha at Gal Viharaya, the Audience Hall and several famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple and remains of the former Temple of the Tooth.

Habarana / Sigiriya / Matale / Kandy
Breakfast at Hotel – This morning we explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress – Rising 200 metres out of the jungle undergrowth, this impressive citadel is surrounded by a moat and extensive manicured gardens. The summit is reached via a steep staircase winding up the side of the rock and on the way up you can see the world-renowned frescos of the Heavenly Maidens.
On completion, we continue our journey towards Kandy, stopping en-route at a Spice Garden in Matale. Here, you will get to explore the different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. An introduction to various spices will be given and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
Check in at the Cinnamon Citadel 4*+ - (Superior Room) - In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness daily rituals featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Return to the hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay. (B & D)
Kandy / Pinnawala / Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at hotel – Morning Proceed to visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela - This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed. Also, could accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their daily bath.
Once completed, we head towards the lush hills of Nuwara Eliya. The drive itself is a scenic treat as you wind your way through the Sri Lankan countryside.
En-route visit a Tea plantation and a Tea factory where you can witness the entire tea-making process, from plucking the tea leaves to the final product. Learn about the art of tea production and taste some freshly brewed Ceylon tea.
Continue your journey through the winding roads, passing by charming villages, cascading waterfalls, and expansive tea plantations. Take in the breathtaking views as you ascend into the hills.
Check in at Grand Hotel 4*+ - (Deluxe Room) - Evening leave on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya - Drive through "Little England”.
